KAYAK is looking for an energetic, German speaking customer-oriented individual to join our consumer team on a freelance basis. The successful candidate will provide consistent, high quality customer service to inquiries for KAYAK’s industry-leading travel website in German.

The expected weekly workload is 15 - 20 hours, potentially more depending on upcoming projects and availability within the team.


  • Respond and route consumer inquiries submitted via online feedback system. Respond via email and via social media channels. Utilize team standards and best practices to formulate appropriate responses.

  • Coordinating and upkeep of responses for multiple language inquiries across our brands

  • Remain informed of product offerings and evolution

  • Collaborate with internal team members to implement new or improved strategies and approaches


  • Native German speaker (required)  

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Minimum 2+ years customer services related experience

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills

  • Enjoys working with a variety of tasks, and capable of independently managing workflow, information and processes for different types of projects

  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask

  • Team player, collaborative and an advocate for our customers

  • Travel industry experience is a plus
