The Position

KAYAK is currently seeking a talented, experienced and self-motivated Manager or Senior Manager, Ad Sales to join our New Business & Growth Accounts Team. 


In this role you will manage some of our largest digital advertising accounts, agency relationships, as well as drive new business partnerships in the U.S. This candidate will work closely with the Commercial team to drive key business results for the KAYAK North America team and thrive in a fast paced, data-driven environment.


  • Responsible for all aspects of sales/pipeline across our larger strategic flight, hotel, package, rental car, tourism board, and non-travel providers 

  • Contribute to prioritizing team efforts and develop a strategy for long-term partner success 

  • Close new business by aggressively contacting prospective advertisers

  • Comfortable Cold Calling/Emailing and Social Selling

  • Conduct in person meetings (when that’s a thing again!)

  • Build proposals and presentations

  • Clearly communicate progress of campaigns to clients and internal partners

  • Lead all aspects of advertising campaigns from start to finish

  • Collaborate closely with the campaign management team to build and maintain relationships with clients that include ongoing strategic consultation and support.

  • Actively monitor performance, structure analyses and provide guidance to team members by using data-driven approaches to drive decision and action to grow the business

  • Evangelize KAYAK’s value proposition and the power of Travel Metasearch

  • Attuned and responsive to the evolving competitive landscape of travel search sites, identify KAYAK’s weaknesses, and formulate/execute a plan to close the gap.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • 7+ years of digital advertising sales experience or similar work history

  • Inside Sales experience preferred, but not necessary

  • Excels at selling new-to-market products and services

  • Consistent track record of meeting/exceeding targets

  • Advanced presentation, negotiation and communication skills

  • Facilitate collaboration between junior team members and internal cross-functional teams (including our various regions globally).

  • Goal driven and ambitious self-starter with ability to deliver on targets without constant supervision

  • Deep understanding of the online media industry and/or travel in relation to your function, as well as more broadly.

  • Good sense of humor and loves working in an unstructured, fast paced environment

  • HUNGRY to learn 

  • Willingness to travel

  • BA/BS degree with a strong academic record
