We are seeking a rockstar brand marketer to be our Brand Manager Lead for our five different brands in Europe: KAYAK, SWOODOO, checkfelix, momondo, and cheapflights.

At KAYAK, Brand Marketing Europe, we combine creativity with insights, analytics and findings to craft messaging that delivers real results and not just hype. We work quickly and efficiently and believe in rapid prototyping and optimization. This requires an objective mindset and willingness to work fast.

For this role, we seek a hands-on brand professional that has extensive experience leading brands from strategy, insights, planning, creative to extraordinary results. This position reports to our VP, KAYAK Marketing Europe.

Experience working with international accounts/clients is a must-have, as is a strong understanding of European culture, and social trends. Previous management experience leading and mentoring brand managers is a requirement for this role. Experience working on travel accounts is helpful but not required.

On a personal level we are looking for an up-beat, positive personality, someone who's comfortable working in a fast-paced technology company and possesses a strong desire to learn.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the KAYAK, Brand Marketing Europe team, to secure strong planning and positioning of all our brands to secure our ambitious goals.

Specific tasks:

  • Market Strategy and Brand Management cross 5 brands in Europe
  • Translate brand strategies into brand plans and go-to-market strategies
  • Define brand position and the best consumer USPs per brand and market
  • Lead and run campaigns and plans
  • Partner with consumer research team to uncover brand health and key brand insights, and deliver actionable insights that improve marketing strategies
  • Develop creative briefs to be solve internally or externally
  • Track and measure creative rotations and route creative for necessary internal approvals
  • Monitor market trends and research competitor’s activities to find opportunities, report on best-in-class marketing activities

Required Skills

  • 8+ years experience in a brand marketing or account management role for a leading agency or consumer brand
  • Coordination and execution of brand marketing creative and clear understanding of creative development process, preferably 5+ years experience in account management and strategy planning at a leading creative agency
  • Experience developing and representing a consumer brand voice and positioning through marketing
  • Fluency in English - and German, French or Spanish are also welcome!
  • A good crafter, quick-acting but a perfectionist.
  • Team management skills and strong coaching abilities.
