The Position

KAYAK, Brand Marketing Europe, is looking for a driven and experienced social media professional to drive the delivery and ongoing development of our brands; KAYAK, momondo, Cheapflights, checkfelix, and SWOODOO’s social media presence in EMEA. This is a specialist, very hands-on role and the candidate must be passionate about social media, travel, content, social conversion, product, data, analytics, reporting, and ready to get stuck in. 

Responsibilities

  •  Working closely with the entire marketing team to build upon and support day-to-day implementation of the social media strategy

  • Supporting  KAYAK, momondo, Cheapflights, checkfelix, and SWOODOO’s social media development to create a unique, differentiated and memorable social media presence, particularly through unique and engaging content.  

  • Hands-on day-to-day execution of activities across the social media mix

  • Supporting delivery of cost effective customer acquisition with particular focus on:

    • Social media acquisition, cost per incremental query (CPiQ), and iRoAS

    • Integration with SEO strategy to grow visibility through outreach and development of social media content partnerships

    • Amplification of PR campaigns through social media platforms

    • Providing key support on larger social/digital campaigns

  • Analysing social media reporting and performance measurement to help shape the social media strategy

  • Key contributor to the development of the content marketing strategy

  • Drive adoption of best practices for social media content creation and the development of breakthrough social media experiences

  • Monitor the competitive landscape, social listening, and the evolution of digital and social media best practices.  

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in digital marketing preferable both as client and agency side. Client side experience should include working for a major brand, preferable an e-commerce brand.

  • Minimum 2+ years dedicated experience in social media marketing including experience working with paid social media teams

  • Solid knowledge of, and experience directly overseeing and operating key social and emerging media platforms for a major brand

  • Passionate for and in tune with the latest social media trends, across platforms and user behavior

  • Track record developing and executing successful social media campaigns and activities

  • Commercial experience with major social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) with track-record of successful use that drove business results

  • Good understanding of user journey and device mapping across the web, mobile and social landscape

  • Good understanding of SEO, content marketing and PR practices and opportunities via social media

  • Experience of crisis and risk management on social media

  • Familiarity and interest in the travel industry

  • Good knowledge of analytics and tracking with experience of reporting and success measurement in social media

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, and presentation delivery

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and facility for creative problem solving

  • Must have fluent English written and verbal. Fluency in German, French or Spanish are also welcome!
