KAYAK is looking for an engineer to be part of a small team focused on building and maintaining the KAYAK API. Our team is constantly iterating, designing, and coding our way to excellence. 2+ years Java experience, experience with Java web development a plus
Amazing programming fundamentals
API development experience a plus
Working knowledge of SQL, Hive/Hadoop a plus
Team player who likes to engage with colleagues at a professional and personal level
Someone who can handle a high volume of requests with frequent interruptions and prioritize their own work while taking infrastructure and business needs into account
Must have excellent technical communication skills
