POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a social media aficionado to join our team as the Social Media Marketing Intern, reporting directly to our Brand Marketing Manager. This will be a key role in helping us shape the voice of our social channels, capture all of our content needs, and grow our social presence. Day-to-day activities will be extremely hands-on with content creation from shooting TikTok videos to posting on Instagram Stories.
Ideal candidates live and breathe social media. You are knowledgeable and passionate about all social media platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram. You have an aesthetic eye for taking beautiful content, and you’re note afraid to get behind or in front of the camera. You are interested in the skincare, beauty, and wellness space. You are a strong communicator, detail-oriented, enthusiastic about connecting with our highly engaged, bodycare-loving audience, and open to working on a small, scrappy team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with building out the social media content calendar, which involves developing compelling content narratives that resonate with our target audience, leverage current trends and data-driven insights to enhance content performance and drive engagement across channels, as well as make sure content aligns with brand initiatives and campaigns
- Shoot, edit, and publish engaging, brand-aligned social media video and photo content for organic and paid use on TikTok and Instagram
- Assist with scheduling all social media posts on Dash Hudson which includes crafting compelling social media copy that captivates our audience, drives engagement, and effectively communicates key messages
- Assist with social media growth strategies (particularly for TikTok and Instagram) which includes research, reporting, monitoring, content concepting and creation
- Assist with day-to-day influencer identification and relationship building, including evergreen gifting and prep for paid partnerships across Instagram, TikTok, etc.
- Monitor and track influencer marketing trends and how other brands are collaborating and creating unique experiences
- Engage with brand's social community by reposting tagged content, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries across social platforms in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive and interactive online environment
- Provide administrative support to the social and marketing teams, including managing calendars, scheduling, organizing documents, coordinating with vendors, product shipments, and assisting with data entry and reporting tasks
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years of experience in the social media space
- Proficient knowledge of social media channels and current trends
- Experience with Dash Hudson and other applicable social media platforms
- Experienced video editor and photographer
- Extremely well organized, hard working, and self motivated to complete assigned tasks, anticipate the next step without direction, and exceed expectations
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and dig in enthusiastically, no matter how small the task—everything is figure-out-able!
- Passionate about learning and self-improvement. Eager to give and receive candid, real-time feedback in support of professional development
- Thoughtful communicator and presenter who loves to work collaboratively and live problem solve in a group—you always have lots of ideas to bring to the table!
