About the Role

This role will lead our high performing Issuer Sales Team and own our issuer & banking targets. You will be responsible for the full life-cycle of our card-linked offers API to traditional FIs, neobanks, and fintechs, managing all pre-sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Leader and player on a small team of sales individuals to achieve our revenue growth goals while concurrently carrying an individual quota
  • Developing a robust pipeline of issuers across our key vertical areas of focus (Traditional Banks, Neobanks, Credit Unions, BaaS)
  • Selling to senior executives at target issuers, negotiating direct contracts, and removing roadblocks to close deals efficiently
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales on forecasting issuer sales revenue and budgeting
  • Leading strategic projects to support revenue growth and margin expansion, and supporting new product launches
  • Setting the sales strategy, creating a playbook, collateral, tools, and sales process to empower the sales team to scale their book of business
  • Develop key internal and external KPIs for tracking sales team effectiveness as well as issuer rewards program/partner performance
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with the Merchant Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to define and achieve joint goals
  • Act as a custodian of Kard’s core values and nurture a workplace where innovation thrives on diversity of thought and experience
  • Travel to attend annual, semi-annual, and quarterly company meetings, client meetings, conferences, and as needed by your job responsibilities
  • Additional duties as assigned

Desired Skills

  • 7+ years of experience selling SaaS and/or API-based technical solutions, leveraging a creative and consultative sales process. Some experience in FinTech required. 
  • 2+ years experience leading new business sales hunters and owning their quota
  • Deep knowledge of how banks & financial institutions work and how to effectively sell in and close long-term deals
  • A process-oriented mindset to define a repeatable merchant lifecycle playbook (from the first pitch meeting through renewal) and sales enablement strategy to efficiently grow the business
  • Demonstrated success owning aggressive revenue targets and hiring/growing a high-performing sales organization
  • A naturally persuasive and high energy personality; you're hungry to make an impact and to disrupt an industry
  • The ability to easily flex between a high-level managerial view and the nitty gritty of a particular contract
  • Proven track record scaling a sales teams in an early-stage startup 
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to drive results autonomously in a hyper-growth and ambiguous  environment
  • Ability to work 8 hours during core U.S. business hours between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m
  • Ability to be on camera, distraction-free, and actively participating during meetings

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with the payments ecosystem, specifically loyalty and rewards
  • In-depth knowledge of the card-linked offers space
  • Certifications and in-depth knowledge of an enterprise sales process

 

Comp Range: $280K - $300K OTE with 50/50 split for commission
