The role:

Lead on the essentials of the Kao Group (The Kao Way), to address learning gaps, and demonstrate clear ROI of training for Kao. Be a trusted advisor to executives, leaders, HCDBPs & employees on all aspects of Talent Management and Learning & Development. Lead projects regarding new tools, technologies and processes or to improve existing methods focusing to deliver an added value for HCD and the business areas, including enhancement of a comprehensive blended learning curriculum for all business areas. Supporting, coaching and guiding the project work and continuous development of junior L&D/HCD colleagues.

What you will do:

  • Management Processes, providing guidance on objective-setting, and working with regional leaders and the Americas region to improve Performance Management practices.
  • Career & Succession Management: Support HCD BPs & Leaders to identify high-potential employees, develop succession plans, and ensure a robust pipeline of talent for critical roles within the organization across EMEA.
  • Employee Development and Training: Designing, delivering and leading training and development programs tailored to the needs of Employees in the EMEA region, including leadership development and skills enhancement initiatives.
  • Implementation & maintenance of Learning & Development related Systems: Vendor management, cooperation with EIS & Legal, create content for Systems and administrate, Analysis & Reporting.
  • Talent Analytics and Reporting: Utilizing data and analytics to assess talent needs, track key talent metrics, and make data-driven talent management decisions specific to the EMEA region.
  • Change Management Support: Providing guidance and support to employees and managers in the EMEA region during periods of organizational change.
  • Role model Kao Leadership values: Whilst supporting, coaching and guiding the project work and continuous development of junior L&D/HCD staff members.

What you will need:

  • Diploma, Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (BA) or comparable education.
  • Working knowledge and certification in at least one behavioral profile (e. g. MBTI, Gallup, CliftonStrenghts, DISC, etc.).
  • Experience in Learning & Development / Training and Facilitation (7+ years)
  • Experience in the Talent Management (7+ years)
  • Experience working in complex, matrix regional / global HCD environments (7+ years) Advanced Technical Skills in Learning Management Systems, Performance Management Systems, e-learning tools.
  • The ability to conduct effective training needs analysis, problem-solving, influencing and negotiation conversations, meeting stakeholder & business needs and providing tangible ROI through learning activities.
  • Strong communication, influencing and feedback skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across different countries and regions, fostering an inclusive and cohesive talent management approach
  • The capacity to think strategically and adapt talent management strategies to accommodate the unique needs and challenges presented by the diverse EMEA region.
  • The ability to navigate and guide/support organizations through periods of change, e.g. restructurings, taking into account the varied perspectives and responses of employees across different cultures.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret talent data and metrics specific to the EMEA region, enabling evidence-based decision-making in talent management strategies and initiatives.
  • The ability to understand, navigate and role model emotions, perspectives, and behaviors within a multicultural workforce, demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity in talent management interactions.
  • Essential - Business fluent in English and German // Desirable - Business fluent in Dutch
