- Executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for our games to ensure high quality, performance, and functionality.
- Working collaboratively with product owners, developers, player success, and designers to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and plan testing coverage for upcoming features and releases
- Conducting thorough testing across multiple platforms, including web, iOS, and Android devices, identifying and documenting defects and issues.
- Performing regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure that issues have been resolved.
- Working closely with the development team to understand project requirements and identify potential areas of improvement.
- Utilizing various testing tools and techniques to conduct manual tests.
- Actively participating in daily stand-ups, providing updates on testing progress, and raising any concerns or risks.
- Continuously contributing to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in gaming and quality assurance.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1+ years of experience in a QA position involving testing
- Strong passion for gaming with a good understanding of both web and mobile free-to-play gaming markets.
- Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Experience with testing mobile applications or games on web, iOS and Android platforms
- Basic knowledge of programming and scripting languages
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Excel).
- An interest in game design and game economies
Salary:
($40,000 - $50,000)
The listed pay range reflects the potential earnings for this role. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and alignment with company needs, typically falling toward the midpoint for most candidates
Kano is a remote-first workplace with an in-person attendance requirement 2-6 times a year.
