Responsibilities
- Migrate data between different databases of our BI solutions.
- Help deploy, configure, and customize our BI solutions for our customers.
- Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
- Ability to bring different sources of data together to deliver insights.
- Combine models through ensemble modelling.
- Present information using data visualization techniques.
- Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development teams.
Requirements
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree inData Science or other quantitative field is preferred.
- 6+ years of experience with strong background in databases, ETL, data streaming to the cloud, and data visualization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Power BI.
- Understanding of machine-learning and operations research.
- Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset.
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks(e.g. Hadoop).
- Experience with Kafka and Pentaho Kettle is a Plus.
- Experience with Navis N4 and Navis XPS is a Plus.
- The ideal candidate should possess an analytical mind, strong math skills (including statistics and algebra), and a problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willing to travel 25% of the time to customer sites around the globe.
