We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive growth in the APAC Region for our Carrier and Vessel Solutions (CVS) business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, closing deals, meeting sales quotas, and building a potential new business pipeline in the APAC region. This position requires a proactive individual with a proven track record in quickly closing deals, earning customer trust, and effectively managing sales cycles. While based in the APAC region, the Sales Representative will report into the Americas region. 

Responsibilities  

  • Identify opportunities and close deals within the assigned territory 
  • Meet sales quota targets and objectives 
  • Build and maintain a potential new business pipeline 
  • Identify new markets and regions for expansion 
  • Identify, qualify, secure, and cultivate new customer accounts and business opportunities 
  • Maintain and enhance existing customer relationships 
  • Organize and develop sales activity reports, metrics, and presentations 
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin or Korean, preferred a second Asian language 
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations regarding customer accounts using data and reports 

Requirements  

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Strong network within the Shipping industry, preferably in the Bulk carrier, MPV, and PTCT segments 
  • 5+ years of experience in the maritime industry, with exposure to shipyards or deep sea/feeder carriers 
  • Demonstrated experience navigating and launching large, complex projects and sales cycles 
  • Excellent customer success, organization, and communication skills 
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent customer relationships 
  • Proficiency in creating, analyzing, and presenting customer account and usage reports 
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to inquiries effectively 
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities by staying highly organized 
  • Extensive network across shipyards and vessel carriers 
  • Motivated by closing deals and achieving sales targets 
  • Willingness to travel to travel within the APAC region as required
