Job Summary
Kairos Power is seeking a highly motivated Supervisor (or Manager depending on experience), Manufacturing Quality to provide leadership and guidance on our ASME & ISO quality management systems. This is a site-specific leadership position that will maintain ASME, ISO and other manufacturing quality certifications for our Albuquerque New Mexico facility. Responsibilities will include managing manufacturing quality personnel, ensure the manufacturing quality programs effectively reduce risk and minimizes cost due to fabrication errors, promotes resolution of quality issues, ensure our quality programs are appropriately audited and performs inspections of weldments to support manufacturing and assembly operations. You will supervise the execution of the Quality Control Manual and processes, develop new Quality Control Processes as assigned, and ensure that required certifications are renewed for continued operations.


Responsibilities
• Lead the site-specific ASME Section VIII and ISO quality control programs to maintain certifications for the facility
• Facilitate and define effective vessel and piping fabrication processes
• Develop, manage and maintain ASME Section VIII and ISO Quality Programs including periodic updates to QC manuals based on maturing processes or audit feedback.
• Develops and maintains non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment, processes and procedures.
• Coordinates and leads 3rd party inspectors (weld, authorized inspector, ISO, etc.)
• Manage, coordinate, and oversee activities for supporting quality management control certifications such as ASME National Board
• Manage and coordinate the Quality Management System/ISO internal audit system and schedule
• Facilitate any electronic surveys or onsite audits concerning ASME/National Board/ISO
• Create, and maintain forms, records and reports concerning ASME /National Board/ISO
• Interfaces effectively with peer organizations – Engineering, Supply Chain & Procurement, Manufacturing Production, and Operations, to achieve Company goals and objectives
• Oversee and process NCRs and communicate NCRs to appropriate personnel
• Hire, coach, manage career development, and assess the performance of team members
• Oversee systems and processes for tool calibration and records.
• May also perform other related duties and responsibilities assigned.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in related field of study with 7 or more years of related work experience; and or 10 years of quality control management system experience or manufacturing experience
• Required 3 years+ experience implementing a quality program in ISO 9001
• Required 3 years+ experience implementing an ASME Section VIII, III, or I quality control program
• Familiar with ASME Section IX, Section VIII and AWS code requirements
• Qualified ISO 9001 Auditor or Lead Auditor certification desired
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems desired
• Must be competent at technical writing and review of technical specifications
• Advanced knowledge on welding inspection processes including NDE, visual (VT), liquid penetrant (PT) and radiographic (RT) inspections as well as ultrasonic (UT) inspection
• Large metal fabrication knowledge of ASME, API, NACE, and codes
• 1+ years experience managing direct reports
• Welding/inspection experience of austenitic stainless steels and other high alloyed steels
• Experience in petrochemical, nuclear, power generation, or aerospace manufacturing environment preferred
• NDT certifications preferred but not necessary.
• Radiographic film interpretation desired
• Dedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards
• Experience working in a dynamic research and development (R&D) environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead strategic meetings on process development with key stakeholders and to provide process coaching to other supervisors and managers.

Physical Conditions
• Vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to differentiate colors related to welding quality, and the ability to adjust focus
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, scissor lifts, articulated boom lifts and the like
• Setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding, ladders)
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
