The Americas Senior Director Shopper Marketing will work closely with the rest of the Americas Marketing Team (Insights, Media, Digital, etc.), the Global Marketing Team, and Americas Cross-Functional Partners (Trade Marketing, Sales, Legal, Finance, etc.) to help manage all forms of retail programming for the Americas region (U.S., Canada, and Latin America).  This includes programs in both third-party retail (convenience, vape, specialty, etc.) and JUUL-owned stores.  The Americas Senior Shopper Director will help to adapt the brand strategy to retail programs and work with the Trade Marketing Team to execute (and adapt to specific geographies/customers as needed).  Additionally, this person will also work with the JUUL-Owned Retail Team to develop programming/creative for JUUL-owned stores, shops-in-shop, kiosks, etc.  

This role is responsible for:

  • Managing marketing initiatives from concept to execution, including brand implementation, project schedules, and seeing initiatives efficiently through to completion
  • Develop retail activation plans that reflect the overarching vision for the JUUL brand globally and the vision for the Americas business and marketing plans​ including optimal allocation of brand investment across all shopper marketing activities and touch points. Collaborate effectively across all functions to ensure execution with excellence
  • Leverage JUUL Global Marketing led brand equity, positioning, assets, guidelines and best practices to create optimized shopper marketing creative applicable to the Americas markets that align with both Global and zone strategies
  • Work cross-functionally with Global Marketing, Americas Marketing, Owned-Retail, Trade Marketing, Creative, Agencies and other teams to project and program manage a vast variety of retail and shopper marketing initiatives, acting always as a brand steward
  • Work to develop a full year retail marketing calendar in line with the Sales Planning Cycles and the overarching marketing calendar
  • Develop trade engagement programs to complement consumer facing initiatives
  • Work with Trade Marketing to ensure best-in-class sales materials
  • Play a leadership role in developing world class creative and programming to fully bring the brand to life within JUUL-owned stores
  • Provide shopper marketing leadership by assessing and analyzing the retail environment, competitive landscape, deeply understanding shoppers and trade partners
  • Agency Relationship Management: ​Successfully manage shopper/activation agency relationships to ensure that retail advertising and promotional initiatives are breakthrough, cost-effective, drive ROI and are consistent with the company’s overall strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with Consumer Insights to identify and implement market research initiatives that will better inform shopper marketing tactics
  • Work cross-functionally with Americas Marketing, Sales and Trade Marketing teams to develop strategic activations and/or retail partnerships  
  • Work cross-functionally with Trade Marketing and agencies to build highly effective and efficient digital shopper marketing programs 
  • Enhance our storytelling ability by bringing our brand and values to life - including through content, communications, and engagement initiatives
  • Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all shopper marketing program activities
  • Help to analyze in-market performance and associated drivers for JUUL and competitive brands
  • Track shopper marketing plans, calendars & schedules
  • Plan and manage the Americas shopper marketing budget

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • MBA a plus, but not required
