  • Supports the account teams to maximise sales fundamentals contribution to the half year and annual plans
  • Manage portfolio within customer to grow distribution to drive category and JUUL’s sales
  • Identify customer contact matrix and develop best in class category relationships to unlock category opportunities (external reporting and regular customer visits)
  • Act as a trusted partner for sustainable value creation of the category: range reviews, shelf optimisation and new concepts of merchandising
  • Creates future growth drivers collaboratively with strategic customers; e.g. shelf navigation, shelf education, shopper interruptions, applying technological solutions
  • Grows the business based on shopper insights through differentiated category strategies and execute consistently
  • Penetrates analysis of customer & market data, showing growth opportunities and forms the base for powerful customer propositions
  • The Category Manager is building competence in the commercial teams and the fieldforce in understanding of sellout data and evaluating of market performance
  • Creation and test of category concepts at POS, based on new shopper and category insights
  • Perform commercial business planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver solutions that drive profitable sales growth
  • Drive the Commercial team’s efforts supporting customer promotions, product launches, brand campaigns, new channel strategy / business development, and trade marketing and sales operations execution
  • Define implementation priorities, develop execution plans, and manage cross-functional pull-through. Manage external and internal customer relationships, influencing strategy and execution
  • Project manage all aspects of the launch planning and implementation of J2 across all functional areas including: sales, trade marketing, campaigns, operations, legal, finance, and PR)


Professional qualifications

We’re looking for someone with FMCG experience and a deep knowledge of Category Management/Development/Sales. This should include:


  • Minimum 3-5 years FMCG experience to include experience of Category Management/Development/Sales
  • Sales and Line Management experience very welcome
  • Knows how to get things done with complex retail customer structures.
  • Track record in regular interaction with customers which results in fast alignment to propositions and effective activation at outlet level
  • Experience in dealing with databases (Nielsen, GFK)
  • Quantitative undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution preferred
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail while delivering against tight deadlines
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, presentation & influencing skills with a proven record of delivery
