We are looking for a qualified Research Associate, Analytical Chemistry to contribute to key R&D initiatives. The candidate is a high energy, enthusiastic, effective individual contributor working on a variety of R&D projects. You will be working hands-on alongside other scientists in the lab, developing novel methodology, conducting experiments to characterize JUUL and other products, and assisting the engineering and clinical teams to design, analyze and test prototypes. Candidate should be a flexible, out of the box thinker, a hands-on scientist, a good communicator, and have practical experience developing and using analytical laboratory techniques.

  • Devise, document, and execute testing protocols using various analytical instruments
  • Execute experiments to test ENDS products and prototypes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other scientists and engineers in R&D to develop new technologies
  • Troubleshoot test methods and instrument errors
  • Maintain lab equipment in working order
  • Write and present reports on test results


  • 1-3+ years of industry or academic (chemical, pharma, biotech) experience
  • Previous hands-on experience of chemical analysis techniques (GC, LC, etc) required
  • Desired experimental knowledge of biological assay development, cell culture is a plus
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Willing to learn and develop new skills by contributing to areas outside of expertise
  • Enthusiasm and scientific integrity


  • BS/MS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field
