ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE AUSTRIA TRADE MARKETING MANAGER:

Initiatives:

  • Develop, build, implement and lead the overall trade and channel marketing strategy in partnership with the trade and distributors as part of the JUUL marketing team and in very close collaboration with the sales team
  • Develop field marketing process and plans, including management of third party field marketing/ support agencies
  • Create innovative new tactics for retail partners including promotions, trade/ retailer engagement programs and other incentives to drive retailer share of mind and voice
  • Work with internal and external partners on the development and delivery of sales and trade marketing assets to support sales initiatives, sales force tools (presentations, sales sheets, promotional/program guides, display units, shop-in-shop concepts and other collateral), trade programs, PoS collateral as well as retailer engagement collateral
  • Become the product expert for Sales and Retailer needs within the Marketing team
  • Develop swag and training programs for JUUL salesforce as well as “ambassadors” in close collaboration with the Head of Ambassador
  • Develop and implement store-check and mystery shopping programs
  • Report regularly on actual POS tool placements and brand visibility in market
  • Develop and execute plans for engagement with the trade press
  • Adapt, complement and improve existing international JUUL sell-in, POS, and sell-out materials
  • Assist in development and execution of trade marketing tactics including product launch, activation

Reporting:

  • Communicate all programs, developments and post-promotion analysis on a regular basis
  • Ensure each initiative has clear metrics and is achieving appropriate return on investment in line with overall objectives
  • Deliver regular reporting of results against metrics, with proposals for improvements
  • Carry out post campaign analysis to report KPIs and distribute learning for future campaigns
  • Complete competitor benchmarking for similar activities and report regularly to key stakeholders

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required skills:
    • 5+ years of experience in Trade Marketing
    • Understand retail, passionate about trade and channel marketing
    • Ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously with excellent project management and personal organizational skills and high attention to detail
    • Self-starter and self-driven - effective working independently but with many stakeholders and ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
    • Work cross-functionally within a medium-sized, flexible organization, be comfortable with rapidly changing diverse needs and projects
    • Creativity, ability to develop creative initiatives that resonates with the target audience to achieve campaign goals
    • Problem solving and analytical skills, ability to leverage quantitative analysis to drive insights & findings
    • Test-and-learn mindset
    • Fluent in German and English
  • Desirable skills:
    • Experience working regulated or highly regulated industries
    • University degree
