ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director, Global Packaging at JUUL works to drive results within our Packaging organization. He / she leads a team of Packaging Program Managers to successful outcomes and is directly responsible for driving continuous improvement within the packaging development function in coordination with cross functional team.

  • Lead large team of Packaging Program Managers in the planning and execution of hundreds of packaging development initiatives in support of country and product launches
  • Provide clear direction to team in alignment with broader Global Consumables Product Management business objectives
  • Track and manage resource load to ensure we achieve business goals efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Drive alignment across Legal, Country Launch Managers, Product, Design, Marketing, Product Lifecycle Managers, Quality, Compliance, Global Supply, and Logistics functions, and provide regular status updates to keep everyone informed
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
  • Improve internal processes with an eye toward streamlining and eliminating roadblocks
  • Develop and institute a strict quality control check for revisions and updates
  • Obsess over each detail - from copy to final printed product
  • Hope for the best, plan for the worst

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years experience in packaging development
  • 5-7 years experience leading large teams of internal and external resources to successful outcomes
  • Package Engineering degree or similar relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence & motivate others
  • Ability to devise creative solutions and drive consensus for complex problems
  • Comfortable in rapid development cycles with challenging goals
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new information and assess impact to programs
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Previous experience working in high-volume Consumer Goods a plus
  • Previous experience launching products internationally a plus
