About the Role

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test at JustAnswer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and quality of our engineering department's test automation and continuous integration efforts. You will work on a variety of functionalities across 4 International JustAnswer sites and various international brand sites. Collaborating closely with Development and Infrastructure teams, you will drive initiatives to refine development and release processes and tools, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality software products. 

What You’ll Do

  • Discover reliable automation strategies to drive efficient and high-quality development and releases. 
  • Collaborate with development engineers to work on right-shaped Test Pyramid.  
  • Proactively identify, report, and guide engineers in resolving defects, ensuring the integrity of our software products and verifying the effectiveness of bug fixes. 
  • Drive QA process in the team, performing effective planning and initiating improvements. 
  • Enhancement of test frameworks, ensuring scalability and reliability. 
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of user interfaces, web services, APIs, and low-level components and infrastructure to validate functionality and performance. 
  • Enhance testability and automation across CI/CD pipelines and other infrastructure components, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Work closely with end-2-end, Contract, Functional, Integration testing (Selenium, Playwright, ReactTestLibrary(RTL), Jest) 
  • Replace any manual testing with automated one without sacrificing quality. 

What We’re Looking for

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in SDET \Senior Automation role, with a strong track record of driving test automation and continuous integration initiatives. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying, addressing, and resolving technical challenges. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively connect with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
  • In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, testing best practices, and CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C#, with proficiency in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks. 
  • Experience in testing APIs, user interfaces, web services, and low-level components, employing a variety of testing techniques and tools. 
  • Upper-intermediate English level.
