Senior Analyst, Portfolio Implementation
New York, New York

We are looking for a junior Portfolio Implementation specialist in New York to support the growth of our investment advisory firm.  This is an opportunity to work alongside individuals who are united by a strong sense of teamwork, service, and excellence. About the Role

This role is a Senior Analyst position responsible for supporting the Portfolio Management Team at Jordan Park.  The focus of this role will be to support the team in the operations, oversight, and management of the underlying portfolio investments of Jordan Park’s clients.  This would include daily implementation, rebalancing and execution of client portfolio investments across Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), ETFs, and Mutual Funds. This role will also offer the opportunity to work with the broader team to support investment efforts across a variety of strategies and asset classes. Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Daily monitoring of portfolio positioning, trade executions, cash management and compliance within client guidelines and/or restrictions
  • Use proprietary tools and data management systems to rebalance and optimize clients’ portfolios
  • Work with Client Coverage/Investment Teams to address client requests and manage events throughout the client's lifecycle, such as account openings, cash flows, rebalances and tax loss harvests
  • Work closely with Sub-advisors and Fund Managers to communicate objectives and strategies, facilitate their funding and account setup, and resolve any discrepancies
  • Support ongoing efforts to optimize the trading and portfolio management systems
  • Work closely with the Operations and Compliance Managers to document procedures and monitor that portfolios are following investment guidelines and mandates
  • Work to support broader team across Public, Private, and Alternative asset classes
  • Assist Portfolio Managers with the implementation and execution of investments held within Jordan Park’s investment vehicles
  • Observe existing workflows, identify weaknesses, and propose more efficient processes
  • Assist with client account onboarding and structuring by determining strategies that are in line with the client’s objectives
  • Assist Client Coverage by managing the client’s liquid portfolio and acting as a junior Portfolio Manager

About You

This role might be right for you if you: 

  • Have a bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Are comfortable working market hours
  • Have experience in Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations or client service
  • Have experience with trading / order management (Addepar) and reporting systems
  • Have experience at a broker-dealer, RIA, multi-family office, or relevant firm
  • Have a strong interest in investments and portfolio management
  • Have strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Are highly detail-oriented, accurate, and self-motivated
  • Are able to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Love taking on challenges and finding creative solutions
  • Are very organized and can handle a multitude of tasks at once
  • Can communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and personalities
  • Are discreet in handling sensitive and confidential information

Preferred, but not required: 

  • Have a deep understanding of Equity and Fixed Income markets
  • Leveraged Python, SQL, VBA, or APIs to schedule, automate, and streamline tasks and processes
  • Have exposure using Addepar for analysis and reporting

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation at Jordan Park includes a base salary, discretionary year-end bonus, benefits and other perks.  We apply a total reward philosophy when determining compensation terms.

The expected base salary for this role in New York, New York will range from $85,000 - $100,000 per year commensurate with experience, job-related skills, relevant education, licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
