Your Impact:

As the first Handshake PMM in the UK Region, you’re excited by the opportunity to learn into Product Management while also driving engagement with our key audiences. You love tackling complex problems and collaborating with cross functional teams to find solutions. 

You love a great story, and meticulously study your audience, learning their quirks and preferences before crafting your narrative. You dive deep into user data, engineering reports, customer support inquiries and use that context to distill complex ideas into trends and compelling anecdotes.

Working closely with our marketing, sales, and success teams, you’ll be responsible for articulating the Handshake product value and progression to our stakeholders on the enterprise sides of the network (employer and university). 

You’ll serve as the primary conduit between the US based product organization and our partners in the UK region. You are comfortable building relationships across time zones and are an excellent written communicator. You take time to understand the unique product requirements of our users and are comfortable advocating for their needs across the broader organization

Your Role

  • Define stakeholders that the UK education team at Handshake needs to regularly communicate with and deliver consistent high signal communications to these groups. 
  • Use tools like Marketo, Looker, Salesforce, AppCues, and the Adobe suite to drive high quality updates to our partners. 
  • Empower our higher education stakeholders with tools and resources necessary to ensure adoption and engagement with Handshake. 
  • Build scalable processes that support the higher education team to reach all partners effectively.
  • Collaborate with Handshake product teams to provide the UK perspective to product planning. 
  • Host user research sessions to better understand our stakeholders. 
  • Surface data and user research to the US based product organization. 
  • Partner cross-functionally to plan and execute product launches; define product messaging and drive go-to-market strategies, scope + execute communication campaigns, and craft marketing resources for full higher education team
  • Work closely with others cross-functionally & with the higher education team to drive key student-side metrics including activation & engagement

Your Experience:

  • At least five years of experience in product marketing or product management ideally at a high growth startup and/or marketplace based company. 
  • Experience with B2B product marketing preferred
  • Comfortable working with our tools (or similar) is a bonus including Looker, AppCues, Webflow, Google Suite, Marketo, Salesforce, Figma, Adobe Suite, etc. 
  • Experience and/or comfort working in fast moving and nimble teams. 
  • Have worked in a fast paced, changing environment and willing to take initiative
  • Experience extracting, analyzing, summarizing and communicating data
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to drive initiatives forward.
