Why we need you:

Our customers build engaged and thriving communities via a deep and diverse ecosystem of services. This is a founding role on the Partnerships team, which will focus on driving direct and indirect revenue through partners. This may be through platform partners, where Common Room is a core component of a partner’s service offering, affiliate/referral partners, implementation partners, and everything in between. You will play a critical role in establishing a core pillar of our go-to-market strategy.
Partnerships will be responsible for meeting a critical portion of Common Room’s growth and revenue targets. You will report to the CEO and work directly with the founding team and executive leadership team.

How you’ll contribute:
  • Build and lead the partnership function from early stage to team growth, and have delivered exceptional results doing so in the past.
  • Build relationships within an innovative and fast growing ecosystem where new partners of all shapes and sizes, ranging from large enterprises to one-person consulting firms, are emerging every day.
  • Own results and be as comfortable rolling up your sleeves as you are building and inspiring a team.
  • Build the partnership playbook for our industry and category and document your learnings every step of the way.
  • Partner closely with marketing, product, and engineering to drive innovative new value for customers and shared success with our partners.
  • Know how to navigate an evolving and fast-growing ecosystem where strategic alignment may shift quickly.

  • Relish strategic thinking and building the programs that make strategy a reality.
  • A proven and inspirational leader who has successfully scaled a Partnerships team in a startup or other high-growth context.
  • A team player and strong communicator, who works well with other functional heads as part of Common Room’s go-to-market leadership team.
  • 15+ years work experience, including 10+ years in Partnerships and/or Business Development
  • Experience in the community management or customer experience space is a plus.
