Summary:
The Data Analyst working with our media planning & buying teams will measure, analyze, and optimize the impact of media on our clients’s bottom lines. The ideal candidate is a team player passionate about building platforms that process complex datasets to understand media performance, business outcomes, and campaign efficiency.
This role combines technical expertise and leadership, requiring a hands-on approach to developing and managing robust data pipelines and analytical frameworks. The candidate will also serve as a client-facing analytics expert, shaping the direction and prioritization of the team while solving challenges and driving results for media planning and buying initiatives.
The focus is on creating scalable, data-driven systems to improve media planning outcomes while ensuring client success. As we continue to grow the team, building strong foundations, relationships, and high-performing data capabilities will be key priorities.
The ideal candidate has experience with advertising analytics, expertise in Python and SQL for building ETL pipelines, and a proven ability to lead technical and client-facing responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Strategic:
- Identify opportunities for system-based problem-solving in media planning and buying.
- Establish technical roadmaps for implementing data pipelines, improving campaign analysis, and generating actionable insights.
- Address and prioritize common challenges across multiple clients to maximize impact.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align media planning strategies with data-driven insights.
- Advocate and sell analytics strategies to clients to support campaign objectives.
Operational:
- Lead day-to-day analytics for media planning and buying scopes of work (SOWs).
- Establish prioritization frameworks for tasks and resources to ensure efficient workflows.
- Ensure timely and accurate information is available for reporting deliverables.
- Build, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines to process and analyze media performance data.
- Oversee integrations with media platforms and vendor APIs.
- Manage technical requirements across clients and internal stakeholders.
- Promote and enforce best practices for coding, analyzing, and presenting data.
Leadership:
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Strategy, Media Buying) to enhance client outcomes.
- Provide a holistic vision for analytics and its integration with media planning teams.
- Lead and develop a high-performing analytics team focused on media planning and buying.
- Establish development plans and training programs for team members.
- Consult on SOWs to ensure proper allocation of resources and technical solutions.
- Support hiring efforts by identifying and onboarding the right talent.
Requirements:
- Balance technical acumen with soft skills (e.g., communication, education, leadership).
- Strong ability to manage internal and external client relationships.
- 3–5 years of experience in media planning/buying analytics or advertising analytics.
- Advanced experience with Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for building and managing data pipelines.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
- Experience contributing as part of a technical team in an analytical capacity.
- Strong problem-solving and logic skills.
- Experience managing a small team and leading technical projects.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range
Our estimated range for this role is $75k - $90k
Compensation packages are based on the skill level and experience each candidate brings to their role. There may also be a more senior or junior position available that could be a better fit with your expertise. Each level has its own compensation range.
