Program Overview
The Mternship program is a 9 week full-time summer internship program designed to provide students a hands-on experience to prepare for careers in advertising and marketing, design firms, brands or other companies in the communications field. Mterns will have the opportunity to work on significant educational projects that can include, but are not limited to, the concept and creation of package designs, digital campaigns, brochures, print ads, TV commercials, websites, experiential design and any other medium used to market a product, service or brand. The goal is for students to leave with projects for their portfolio and/or an understanding of how a creative agency works.
We are considering interns in the following departments. You will be able to indicate your preferred departments when you submit your application.
- Account Management - Intern will gain experience in managing projects, developing timelines, overseeing budgets, and gaining an overall understanding of the process of developing and producing advertising.
- Creative - Intern will learn strategic thinking, how to put together ideas with clarity, how to present, edit, craft, resilience, different work styles, the lifecycle of a project, how to support fellow creatives, elevate creative chops, and more.
- Data & Analytics - Collaborate within the AI innovation team as well as adjacent teams in Media/ Data & Analytics
- Marketing - This internship is a great experience for anyone looking to go agency or client side in marketing. The marketing actions we are taking are universal to modern marketing, including CRM, one to one relationship building, promoting the agency on owned channels and analyzing needs for optimization.
- Project Management - Support and collaborate with project managers and coordinators managing internal and client projects and resource management. This role provides an opportunity to gain an understanding of the inner working of an agency and learn how to manage projects effectively from start to finish.
- Strategy - Intern will learn brand, social, and influencer strategy, with a focus on one form of strategy, as well as desk research, presentation design, brand storytelling, brief building, qual research and management
- Technology - Intern will assist creating secure, robust, flexible and highly available systems and technologies that delight on any device from any location to empower and support the creative heartbeat of McKinney. In short, utilize technology to delight clients, allow us to run more efficiently, and create magical experiences.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Must be graduating between December 2025 - May 2027
- Majoring in advertising, marketing, business or management is a plus
NOTE: This is a hybrid internship, not fully remote. Interns must be able to work out of an office location at least three days a week. Relocation stipend not included in internship offer.
COMPENSATION
Our compensation for this role is $18/hour.
