Purpose

Responsible for managing social media efforts for McKinney and our clients--supervising all efforts within social outlets on behalf of our clients. Believer in social outlets’ ability to create awareness, spread valuable or entertaining experiences, and build relationships and affinity for our clients’ brands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all designated social media initiatives for Clients.
  • Plan for, coordinate and execute on all specified Clients’ social media properties to include Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Foursquare, Vimeo, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Google+, blogs, and community forums.
  • Create, maintain, and execute a social media editorial calendar and posting schedule.
  • Work with creative and account management teams in creating and presenting social media plans and initiatives.
  • Work directly with clients to obtain all necessary approvals of content, calendars, initiatives and plans.
  • Collaborate on creation and preparation of planning and presentation materials for client and internal stakeholders.
  • Create unique, branded content including posts, images and videos in partnership with, or with direction from creative teams as part of the daily community management responsibility.
  • Partner with McKinney producers to brief and manage creative and production teams for larger scale content creation needs.
  • Engage with brand communities on those platforms on behalf of clients.
  • Participate in developing a content strategy, reporting and optimizing across platforms.
  • Execute unique campaign message processes, working collaboratively with others on the team through each of the important campaign development and delivery steps, from conception through execution, measurement and reporting.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of – and be able to report on – client brand’s performance in the social spaces.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of – and be able to report on – competitive activities in the social spaces.
  • Pitch posts / stories based on observations of opportunities in the market space.
  • Manage client expectations, prepare status reports for clients, and work closely with the account team to determine and execute on timelines and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including copywriting, editorial writing and social content creation. 
  • Excellent presentation skills. 
  • Ability to plan and think strategically. 
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Effectively work independently and manage the day-to-day program as well as manage and influence others. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Photoshop and/or Illustrator.

Experience

Ideal candidate has 3+ years of dedicated social media experience in a production environment at a digital agency, full- service advertising agency or client-side. Active blog or social media presence. Previous community management experience. Proven experience in managing internal and external content contributors and working with other brands on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Vimeo, Tumblr, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.

Salary Range

Our estimated range for this role is $60k - $70k

Compensation packages are based on the skill level and experience each candidate brings to their role. There may also be a more senior or junior position available that could be a better fit with your expertise. Each level has its own compensation range.
