About the Position

We are looking for a communicative and organized individual to join our growing Food Service team in New York. This position sits within our broader Office Administration department, an essential part of Jane Street’s daily workplace operations. We’re a customer-focused and solutions-oriented group that helps enhance our colleagues’ workday experience from A to Z.

As a Food Program Specialist, you’ll help coordinate and manage our in-office food service operations, collaborating with our food service vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to provide excellent dining, pantry, and event catering offerings.

While the responsibilities of this role will require a programmatic mindset, skillful business acumen, and deep working knowledge of the food industry, this opportunity is best suited for someone who enjoys collaboration and connection. You’ll be engaged in all aspects of our food program and work alongside members of Office Administration, IT, Facilities, Events, and more to provide a dynamic and engaging experience rooted in community building and creativity.

Some additional responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Developing a long-term strategy for continued employee engagement with Food Service to enhance the employee experience
  • Creating and implementing processes and procedures that drive consistent results
  • Helping to monitor our financial forecast and managing overall vendor performance
  • Assisting in the opening of new amenity spaces
  • Helping to oversee the development and roll-out of programming and events strategies
  • Conducting an ongoing competitive review of retail and industry trends, landscape, and innovation to drive our future strategy

We’re looking to bring someone on board who thrives in ambiguity and is eager to ask questions to arrive at the best, not quickest solutions. Someone with an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and curious mindset will do exceptionally well in this role.

Food is an incredibly important point of connection for Streeters; your role will help foster employee engagement as we continue to grow in our beautiful and bustling New York office.
