About the Position
We are looking for an energetic and driven Legal Counsel to help us advise on, draft, review and negotiate contracts for our business groups in Asia, and in some cases, around the world.
You’ll assist several of our business groups in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, such as broker terms, market data agreements, service agreements, terms of business, leases, building contracts, NDAs and financing agreements. We will also rely on you to:
- Respond to inquiries regarding existing and new contracts
- Assist with new projects and new business areas
- Liaise with external counsel and other external advisers
While your daily work will focus on Hong Kong, you will also sometimes advise colleagues more broadly across the firm in our Amsterdam, London, New York and Singapore offices.
About You
- Less than 4 years PQE in a corporate/commercial/derivative/regulatory team within leading law firms or financial institutions
- Experienced with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- Able to stay organized and handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing, speaking and people skills; strong negotiation skills
- Extremely detail oriented
- Takes initiative to address problems and make process improvements
- Positive, responsible and professional attitude and presence
- Collaborative and able to clearly articulate your approach, analysis and conclusions
- Fluency in English required
