Job Description:
The Boiler Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of boilers and associated equipment. The ideal candidate should be a journeyman with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field and possess in-depth knowledge of boiler systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance: Efficiently install, inspect, and maintain various types of boiler systems, ensuring their proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to boiler systems, controls, and auxiliary equipment, applying advanced technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations during all boiler operations, promoting a safe work environment for yourself and the team.
Diagnostic Inspections: Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests on boilers to preempt potential issues and optimize performance.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the team to develop effective boiler maintenance strategies and provide guidance to junior technicians and apprentices, fostering their professional growth.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts inventory, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference.
Qualifications:
Journeyman Status: Hold a recognized journeyman's license in the field of boiler technology.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with various types of boilers, demonstrating a strong understanding of their operations and maintenance requirements.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of boiler systems, controls, and associated equipment, coupled with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
