We are looking for a versatile (Senior) Software Engineer to work in the Business Applications Business Unit and help build the best possible online environment to inspire and empower all music lovers to create the future of music.

Our Soundwide API & Services team is developing and maintaining highly reliable, scalable and secure services as well as creating online solutions for integration into our products, and ensuring that these are up-and-running 24/7. We would like to enrich the team with someone who is familiar with the full software life cycle, thriving on envisioning, building, and implementing new products from scratch, and who is looking forward to working with experienced, collaborative colleagues enthusiastic about music and technology.

What You'll Do

Develop, build and run a variety of scalable and robust application server APIs and microservices
Build highly performing web applications that interact with large amount of data catering to all our users around the world
Continuously refactor, modernize and consolidate existing systems and services
Collaborate with other cross-functional, distributed Agile teams to identify and solve compelling issues for our cloud solutions
Work alongside other Engineers and Designers ensuring all applications are reliable, monitored and logged
Working with colleagues across teams to set best practices and assess the value of new technologies and frameworks

What You'll Need

Experience in creating scalable web applications
Hands-on experience with with relational database technologies and data modeling, with preferred experience working with PostgreSQL
Knowledge of writing server-side software in different languages, with preferred experience in Python and/or JavaScript
Experience with at least one of the following: cloud services providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform etc.), virtualisation and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc), microservices architecture, serverless architectures
Good communication skills and collaborative approach to working in a team
Creative, solution-oriented mindset with a meticulous and self-reflective approach to your work
Curiosity to learn new technologies, programming languages and paradigms
Experience in writing and maintaining tests, prefers a behavior driven approach to development
