Audio Research is a cross-functional team tasked with perpetuating Soundwide’s technological competitiveness based on the invention of novel signal processing technology. We accomplish our mission by inventing machine learning and signal processing algorithms for audio; deploying algorithms through executables, prototypes, code, workshops, publications, and patents; guiding product strategy based upon scientific and technical expertise; and accelerating the transfer of technology across Soundwide stakeholders.
Depending on skill level, this position may be upleveled to a Senior Research Engineer.

- Innovate new technology in the following areas

- Stay informed about latest scientific and technological advancements
- Disseminate knowledge internally and externally through publications, workshops, tech talks, and demos
- Facilitate the speedy transfer of technology across Soundwide
- Communicate clearly and expeditiously with product teams
What You'll Need
- You have a Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Signal Processing, Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++
- Familiarity with Tensorflow and/or PyTorch
- You are organized, and able to create repeatable and scalable experiments using well-documented code to investigate hypotheses
- You have a clear sense of sonic aesthetics resulting from your experience listening deeply to audio, as well as experience with computer-based music production tools
- You are committed to being engaged and contributing to the academic community
- You know how to write modern, testable and maintainable code
- You care about agile software processes, data-centric development and reliability
