We are looking for a Test Engineer who will collaborate with development & service teams to understand product requirements and ensure testability.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation and manual testing, strong expertise in API and performance testing, and a solid understanding of CI/CD processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our Ivoyant products through comprehensive testing strategies.

 

 Location: iVoyant Systems Private Limited, J P Nagar 2nd Phase Bangalore, KA.  

 

Generic Requirements:   

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/MCA.    
  • 2+ years professional experience in Software Development.   
  • Work experience in Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning & Strategy:
  • Develop and maintain test plans and strategies in alignment with product requirements.
  • Create detailed test cases and test scripts, ensuring coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Test Execution:
    • Perform manual and automated testing using Playwright, covering functional, regression, and integration testing.
    • Execute API testing using Postman, including performance and load testing.
    • Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management, version control, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Automation & Performance Testing:
    • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
    • Incorporate API performance testing within Postman into the testing framework.
    • Analyze and report on performance testing results, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability.
    • Participate in code reviews, providing insights from a testing perspective.
    • Document test results and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools in software testing.
    • Continuously improve test processes and tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in automation testing using Playwright.
    • Experience with API testing and Postman, including performance testing.
    • Solid understanding of Azure DevOps (ADO) for version control, test management, and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Familiarity with manual testing, including functional and non-functional testing.
  • Experience:
    • 2-4 years of experience in software testing, preferably in both manual and automation roles.
    • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with other testing tools and frameworks.
