At Iversoft, the HR Generalist will support all staff with all things related to the employee lifecycle. This includes supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management, off-boarding and much more. 

This is a 13 month maternity leave contract looking for a Jan 31st start date. 

Responsibilities

  • Support employees in following all existing HR processes and policies

  • Be available for employees to answer any HR related questions and to provide support when needed

  • Provide necessary support the talent team with recruiting initiatives 

  • Onboard new employees into the company and support them through their first months at Iversoft 

  • Support managers to manage and monitor performance related issues 

  • Support managers with termination related matters by preparing documentation and ensuring terminations are compliant with employment legislation

  • Support managers and employees through the review cycle by following established process

  • Support employees with goal setting and professional development

  • Keep up to date with employment legislation updates including the ESA, OHRC, OHSA and AODA to ensure company compliance 

  • Support operations initiatives when necessary 

  • Report to the Director of People and Culture with weekly updates and blockers in the department 

  • Maintain the HRIS to ensure it is up to date 

  • Keep up to date with HR trends and suggest changes/improvements 

  • Answer benefits questions, including pointing employees to information or escalating issues to Manulife

  • Administer HR surveys (ex. 360, employee engagement, etc.)

  • Proactively monitor company culture and suggest potential changes

  • Own internal communication as it relates to company-wide policies or changes

Requirements 

  • 1-2 years of professional HR experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of Ontario employment law 

  • Experience either supporting or managing the review process including performance management

  • Experience with an HRIS

  • Experience administering HR related surveys

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Collage HRIS

  • CHRP designation 

  • Experience with handling employee attrition
