Your Mission
The Production Engineer Additive Manufacturing will hold responsibility for leveraging cutting-edge additive manufacturing technologies to develop, optimize, and produce high quality components. Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, regarding technical support, striving for best-in-class products and business practices. Aiming to exceed expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels and driving operational excellence. You will also cover CAD related topics in the Production Engineering team and will check the readiness for production of parts, assemblies, and methods. Building a rocket, we have the following key production processes: additive manufacturing, CNC turning and milling, assembly processes, carbon fiber composites, electronics manufacturing and welding. Some of the processes are fully automated. Our machine park includes only the most advanced and latest machinery and equipment.
- Process Development: Design, implement, and optimize additive manufacturing processes, including optimizing material usage, parameters, and post-processes (e.g. research projects)
- Production Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of additive manufacturing production lines, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Quality assurance: Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all manufactured products meet the required specifications and standards. Conduct regular inspections and testing components
- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to production staff, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to additive manufacturing equipment and processes as far as in the scope of PEng
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality
- Documentation: maintain detailed documentation of production processes, including standard operation procedures, process parameters, and quality control records
- Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, R&D teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of additive manufacturing processes into product development and production
- Innovation: Stay current with advancements in additive manufacturing techniques, equipment operation, and automatization
- Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
