Your Mission 

Isar Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior Group Accountant with expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the group accounting function, ensuring first-time adoption of IFRS, and implementing accounting policies and procedures across the organization. The role requires a strong track record of implementing IFRS and working on a standalone basis, as well as experience in managing external advisors/auditors. The candidate must also have experience using SAP. 

More specifically, you will: 

  • Participate in strategic group-wide finance projects
  • Manage the implementation of IFRS ledger in SAP S4/HANA
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IFRS
  • Oversee all IFRS matters, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and other financial reports
  • Coordinate with external auditors and advisors to ensure compliance with IFRS  
  • Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financial statements for the group
  • Develop and implement controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information
  • Support the finance team with bookkeeping tasks, including reconciling accounts and ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions
  • Manage intercompany transactions 

 Who you are and what you have 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; ACCA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role overseeing group accounting and implementing IFRS
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience applying it in a commercial environment
  • Ability to work independently and on a standalone basis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • SAP and Lucanet skills are an advantage
  • Fluent in German and English
