Your Mission

The Program Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the various development streams within the Launch System Program. This includes managing projects related to rocket systems (Propulsion, Structures, GNC, Avionics, etc.), application software development, and IT infrastructure. The Program Manager will ensure that all projects are aligned with the company’s strategic goals, timelines, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with Product Owners, Vice Presidents and report to C-Level management.

More specifically, you will:

  • Project Oversight: Provide comprehensive oversight of all development streams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines
  • Coordination: Facilitate communication and collaboration between Product Owners, VPs, and the CTO Office to ensure cohesive project execution
  • Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, performance metrics, and deliverables, providing regular updates to the Program Director
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices to enhance project execution
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to understand project requirements, expectations, and feedback
  • Technical Support: Collaborate with the CTO Office to ensure technical support and guidance for development streams

Who you are and what you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering, or other relevant fields (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years of working experience in an engineering environment, preferably aerospace
  • General understanding of rocket systems and ability to discuss project-related details with software development and IT
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Jira and MsProject or similar) and project methods (Agile and classic methods)
  • Fluent English Speaking (German beneficial)
