iRely is looking for a Business Analyst to join their Product Development Team to work on the US Payroll Module. The Payroll module is iRely’s software application that businesses use to manage and automate the process of paying employees.  

Responsibilities and Duties 

This role is integral to the ongoing success and retention of our customers, and the competitiveness of our software products. The Business Analyst has the potential to grow into a full Product Manager. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their requirements, translating them into technical specifications. 
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of technical systems, software applications, and databases to identify integration opportunities and ensure compatibility with business requirements. 
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage new tools and techniques for improved business processes. 
  • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams, ensuring effective collaboration and understanding of project goals and deliverables. 
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and test plans. 
  • Analyze existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions that align with business goals and objectives. 
  • Work closely with development teams to provide guidance and clarification on business requirements, ensuring that the delivered solutions meet the desired outcomes. 
  • Perform system testing, validate the functionality of developed solutions, and assist in user acceptance testing to ensure successful implementation and user satisfaction. 
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery and successful project outcomes. 
     

Qualifications 

  • Strong Business Analysis skills is required 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions. 
  • Technical knowledge or familiarity with programming languages, databases, and system integration concepts. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Proficiency in documenting requirements, creating process flows, use cases, data models, and other relevant documentation artifacts. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • Knowledge in US Payroll in the following area is a plus: 
  • Government compliance Reporting 
  • Customer Specific incentives-Benefits 
  • Awarding of earned hours 
  • Paycheck computations (Taxes-States, Local Municipality, School district, Deduction earnings, Time off) 
  • SDLC knowledge is required 
  • SQL-Nice to have
