iRely is looking for a Business Development Representative to join the Agriculture Software Division. The job requires the person to  be a resident in Iowa. The role will report to the Sales Director of this business.

Job Overview:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at iRely's Agricultural Division, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and expanding our market presence within the agriculture industry. This position requires a dynamic and motivated individual with a strong understanding of agricultural processes and a keen interest in technology solutions. The BDR will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and promoting iRely's back office software solutions tailored for the agriculture sector.

Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape within the agricultural sector.
    • Analyze customer needs and preferences to tailor iRely's software solutions accordingly.
  2. Lead Generation:
    • Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies to create a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
    • Utilize various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking events, to establish initial contact with potential clients.
  3. Relationship Building:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition from lead generation to the sales process.
  4. Product Knowledge:
    • Develop a deep understanding of iRely's back office software solutions specific to the agriculture industry.
    • Effectively communicate the value proposition of iRely's products to potential clients.
  5. Sales Presentations:
    • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to showcase iRely's solutions, addressing the unique needs and challenges of the agriculture sector.
    • Conduct product demonstrations to highlight key features and benefits.
  6. Sales Support:
    • Work closely with the sales team to provide support in the negotiation and closing phases of the sales process.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials.
  7. Performance Metrics:
    • Meet and exceed assigned quotas for lead generation and sales targets.
    • Regularly update and maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, and opportunities in the CRM system.
  8. Travel Commitment:
    • The Business Development Representative is expected to travel extensively via car, covering up to 75% of their time. This travel may involve visiting potential clients, attending industry conferences, and participating in networking events to promote iRely's Agricultural Division. Flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential for success in this role. The candidate should have a valid driver's license and be comfortable with regular travel within the designated region.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the agriculture industry.
  • Knowledge of back office software and technology solutions is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
