The CFO will report to Sri Njay, interface.ai’s CEO and Founder as a key member of the senior executive staff and lead all financial operations for the company. Responsibilities will include all FP&A, accounting, business operations, tax, treasury, legal and investor relations.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and improve systems and processes to drive operational excellence and support revenue growth: The CFO will drive the long-term financial strategy aligned with business growth and scalability. They will instill a culture of performance management and improve accountability to achieve operational excellence. The CFO will have experience with implementing operating cost discipline to drive improved margins. The CFO will leverage software to improve automation and support scaling of the business. The CFO must have a love of data analysis, a passion for utilizing data to drive business decisions and a keen understanding of how to impact business drivers. The CFO will also be responsible for shaping the company’s financial narrative, communicating with the board/investors and guiding fundraising efforts.

 

  • Provide cross-functional collaboration and function as an operationally oriented business partner to the leadership team: The CFO will function as a business partner to the CEO and across the leadership team (including the Go-To-Market/customer success and product teams). The CFO will support the company’s growth by providing financial and business insights in areas such as strategic planning, cash flow management, financing, headcount planning, strategic partnerships, sales channel expansion and geographic expansion. The CFO will need to be proactive and thoughtful about the long-term vision and breadth of opportunities available for the company while balancing the need for financial discipline and focus. The CFO will need to understand business risks and develop a strong understanding of interface.ai’s market position and competitive strategy.

 

  • The CFO will “own” the financial model, improve the planning process, and use financial analysis of key SaaS metrics/KPIs to influence key business decisions: The CFO will analyze financial and other implications of various business scenarios, analyze the ROI on corporate investments and product offerings, and influence and support business decisions to prioritize the utilization of corporate resources. The CFO will lead the planning process and drive accountability across the company for the financial plan. The CFO will ensure that the company has predictability and visibility of financial results. The CFO will also be skilled in analyzing SaaS-specific metrics (such as CLV, CAC, and ARR) and using these metrics to guide strategic decisions.

 

  • Strong leader who will motivate their team while contributing to a positive culture: The CFO will have an international team and will need to influence the company’s global financial strategy including international finance, compliance, and tax strategies across different jurisdictions. The successful candidate will be a strong mentor to their team and be a leader of a strong corporate culture. The CFO will be a team builder who also scales processes and systems to support continued growth. The CFO should be looking for ways to use automation and software tools to improve overall team efficiency. The CFO will support recruiting and team development plans company wide. The CFO must approach team building in a systematic way, informed by data and measurement, but without losing focus on maintaining interface.ai’s positive corporate culture.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven culture and have experience establishing systems and processes in a technology company. Strong operator/leader - ability to transform finance team/processes/systems, implement and track KPIs, optimize forecasting.
  • Demonstrated success as a CFO or VP of Finance at an enterprise SaaS/software company with experience scaling venture capital-backed, high-growth SaaS companies.
  • Experience partnering with a founder/CEO would be a plus. Has a strong voice to drive efficiency and accountability. Strong cross-functional collaboration is a must with a focus on the GTM, product and customer success teams.
  • Investor relations and financing experience (including debt and equity financing) will be appreciated along with treasury experience. The CFO will be responsible for optimizing capital allocation and managing investor communications, particularly with a focus on fundraising and venture debt.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to board members, investors, and venture capitalists along with members of the leadership team and the broader company.
  • The ideal candidate has global financial management experience with international finance, compliance, and tax strategies across different jurisdictions.
  • 12+ years of increasing financial leadership responsibility with deep experience in operational finance and FP&A. Ability to drive value and growth levers at the corporate level.
  • Experience implementing modern finance tools that help scale and influence a company’s digital transformation.
  • Data-driven leader with a deep appreciation for data. Strong analytical skills and ability to improve ROI. Adept at quickly interpreting relevant data to drive business decisions.

  • Interface.ai is a remote first company. Preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone.

Compensation is expected to be between $325,000 - $350,000 in base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills and location.
