What’s the opportunity?
The performance marketing team is responsible for strategy and execution of all things paid advertising at Intercom, from integrated marketing campaigns promoting new features, offers and events to evergreen, full-funnel demand gen campaigns aimed squarely at new customer acquisition.
As the Integrated Performance Marketing Manager, you will be the subject matter expert for paid campaigns supporting Integrated marketing initiatives. In this highly collaborative role, you will develop, implement, and manage cross-channel campaigns that drive audience engagement and conversion. You will leverage data and insights to optimize paid campaigns, ensuring alignment with the broader Integrated campaign goals. This position requires a creative, analytical thinker with a deep understanding of digital marketing and the ability to manage projects from conception to execution.
What will I be doing
- Campaign Strategy & Execution:
- Develop integrated paid marketing strategies supporting the broader campaign’s overall objectives, focusing on audience engagement and customer acquisition, through paid channels.
- Forecast the projected impact of paid tactics
- Execute high-impact performance marketing campaigns across channels including Paid Search (SEM), Paid Social (Meta, LinkedIn, etc.), Display, and Video.
- Collaborate with integrated marketing, brand, creative, and other cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and optimized user experiences.
- Performance Marketing Management:
- Manage and optimize paid media campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn, etc.) to drive measurable results and overall campaign ROI.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and continually test and refine campaigns for maximum efficiency and performance.
- Work with internal teams to track and report on key metrics, providing insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Nurture prospective buyers through Top and Middle of Funnel campaigns through content downloads, webinars, events and other offers to further educate and engage our audience.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Conduct A/B testing, audience segmentation, and other optimization techniques to improve ad performance and overall campaign results.
- Analyze campaign performance regularly, using data to optimize and refine future campaigns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams (Integrated Marketing, Sales, Creative, Brand, Analytics) to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall business strategies and goals.
- Provide leadership in coordinating integrated paid campaigns and ensuring that messaging across channels is consistent and effective.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Oversee campaign budgets, ensuring efficient spend allocation across channels, while optimizing for cost-effective results.
- Manage resources and ensure projects are executed on time and within scope.
- Trend Monitoring & Innovation:
- Stay on top of the latest performance marketing trends, emerging tools, and best practices to keep campaigns innovative and competitive.
- Proactively identify opportunities for new digital marketing strategies, channels, and tactics to explore.
- Document what has worked, what hasn’t and consistently refine the playbook to do integrated marketing.
What skills do I need?
- 3+ years experience working on a marketing team in a hyper growth technology company
- You have hands-on experience with digital ad platforms. You know the ins and outs of Google Ads, Linkedin and Meta.
- You are a data-driven marketer and have no problem navigating a large spreadsheet, creating a well-organized pivot table or using a SUMIFS formula to support your insights.
- You have experience working cross-functionally with diverse teams to get things done.
- You have strong communication skills allowing you to keep your stakeholders informed.
- You are organized and thrive in a fast paced environment.

*Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.
The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $120,250 -$139,750. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
