Job Description
The Associate Clinical Director oversees the staff and clients within a geographically defined area
and/or specific service line, and contributes clinical knowledge, team leadership, feedback and
insight to support the success of four customer groups:

Organization: Promote our brand, reputation, culture and business results
Funding Sources: Ensure quick service of new referrals, impact on client progress and
compliance with funding source requirements
Assigned Staff: Support individualized professional development and success, as appropriate
for their level of experience and stage in clinical progression
Assigned Clients: Sustain high quality clinical practice, impactful client progress, excellent
customer service and support from all team members

focused on quality clinical programming and efficacy

This position reports to Clinical Director and Senior Clinical Director.


This position may require driving 30 to 60 (or more) miles a day when conducting quality control,
supervision and consultation in the field, as well as occasional travel outside of regular business
hours to serve as a company representative at conferences (internal and industry) and in new
markets in development.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Render approximately 60 billable hours per month; billable hours will be variable pending the
number of Clinical Supervisors (BCBAs) assigned
• Directly manage up to approximately 5 direct reports with varying composition of Clinical
Supervisors and Program Managers
• Conduct 100% of assigned direct billable services to clients, including FBAs, direct
supervision of ongoing cases, as well as consultation on or coverage of certain cases assigned to
other supervisors
• Supervise your team to render as close to 100% of their assigned, billable client hours as
possible
• Develop programs, updates, reports, and other paperwork with accuracy, timeliness, and
clinical integrity and compliance in accordance with each funding source contract
• Manage schedule and meet deadlines with consistency and reliability
• Manage consistent delivery of training (new hire training, supervisor, and BCBA)
• Manage consistent delivery of clinical practice across (the territory)
• Support launch of clinical services in (the territory)
• Manage productivity of territories: utilization, growth, and additional regional metrics to be
determined
• Review reports from Clinical Supervisors (BCBAs) for approval for funding source submission
• Oversee and manage caseload planning and scheduling for assigned clinical teams within the
territory
• Manage effectiveness of delivery of company initiatives and policies
• Participate in recruiting and interview process for Program Managers and Clinical Supervisors
(BCBAs), and ensure effective coverage to conduct interviews to manage aggressive hiring and growth
• Manage the process of clinical onboarding, off boarding, and transitions
• Provide field coverage and/or conduct assessments, if needed to support regional operations
• Facilitate adaptations of clinical team structure to best support company initiatives
• Support clinical and training initiatives to ensure data and reporting systems are clinically
appropriate, efficiently utilized, and compliant with ICT and BACB standards
• Ensure enforcement of ICT policies and those of funding source, industry, state, and federal
regulations within the territory
• Identify and resolve staff and client issues through direct intervention and/or escalation to
Clinical Director and/or Senior Clinical Director
• Ongoing communication to alleviate any high-level issues with the families, funding sources,
and staff
• Represent company effectively at industry events, with funding sources and families

Job Skills:

• Excellent ABA and clinical skills
• Excellent written and spoken communication: Clear language, accurate grammar and spelling

• Excellent time management skills: billable vs non-billable, onsite/direct vs offsite/indirect
hours
• Excellent relationship management skills, customer service orientation, collaboration and team
player attitude with all Customers (colleagues, client families and funding sources)

Required Experience and Credentials:

• Master’s Degree or PhD completed
• BCBA certified
• 3+ years of BCBA experience
• 3+ years of supervisory/managerial experience
