Position Overview

The Principal Product Manager, Solutions is a strong technical leader with a deep understanding of the EHS&Q market. This role is responsible for overseeing the quality and market-fit of applications built on the Intelex platform.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Applications product management team and ensure the coordination of deliverables is synchronized to achieve high-quality timely product releases
  • Responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the application Product Management group
  • Assumes a senior role in shaping work practices, policies, standards & technologies we use in the development of the Intelex applications
  • Work with the team to ensure sufficient processes and tools are in place to meet the requirements of the business and the market
  • Contributes to continuous improvement and excellence of standards and practices
  • Help define departmental objectives and metrics
  • Takes on a senior role in recruiting and employee development including hands-on development and mentoring
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan Application roadmap and resources
  • Plays an active role in the representation of the Company in technical community forums & events to build brand awareness and an employer of choice
  • As required, represent the Company’s Application function to customers, partners and at industry events

Technical Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Product Management best-practices including roadmap planning, Go-To-Market strategy and project management
  • Strong understanding of EHS&Q regulations and best practices
  • UI design including task and workflow analysis and prototyping will be an asset

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety, or Quality Management and involved with enterprise software requirements definition and implementation strongly preferred
  • Professional experience within an agile development practice preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high performing teams
  • Proven ability to articulate business opportunities and customer needs into product requirements / user stories.
  • If you have worked with Aha! and JIRA you will feel right at home with our primary tools
  • You know how to get product from ‘shipped’ to ‘adopted and loved’

Education

  • Post-secondary qualification in Environmental, Health and Safety or Quality related fields or related experience strongly preferred
  • Master's Degree or business training will be an asset
