As a Workday Absence Consultant, you will ensure successful deployment by architecting, configuring, and testing Workday solutions to meet the specific needs of the client. Foster the development of other Consultants by sharing expertise. May support proposal preparations, deliver demonstrations to clients, and speak at conferences.
This remote role can be located anywhere within the U.S. to perform the required responsibilities.
KEY EXPECTATIONS
- Provide expertise in the Workday Absence product suite including functional expertise on Absence best practices for business process design
- Lead the following as a member of a deployment team, or coach others to successfully: gather and document client business requirements, design and configure the Workday solution, demonstrate configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist in testing the Workday solution, and complete knowledge transfer to clients
- Work with confidential client/data conversion team to help convert legacy data into Workday
- Provide Absence functional support to integration consulting team in configuring and testing integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions
- Mentor new consultants and serve as a professional role model as well as coach others on product knowledge
- Communicate clearly and concisely. Collaborate effectively and synergistically to team-based projects
- Resolve complex tasks/requirements when other team members need support
- Facilitate clients’ intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices
- Maintain clients’ ongoing satisfaction, ensuring Intecrowd is referenceable and referable once in production
- Provide regular status reports to the project managers
- Innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively
- Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications
- Ensure functional Absence solutions are compatible with downstream data translation (assist integrators in configuring/testing integrations between Workday and external systems)
- Contribute to and mold a culture of continuous education amongst your colleagues, mentees, and managers - serve as a professional role model
- Provide insightful status reports to project managers that highlight risks to project health and improvements in client adoption
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Current WD Absence Certification is required
- 4+ years configuring and implementing a combination of Absence (PATT) Solutions
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company
- Previous experience deploying Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ultimate, or similar applications
- Demonstrated project management experience within the Absence Functional area
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to effectively manage against timelines and goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities
- Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
- Proven track record deploying multiple Absence projects simultaneously
- Expected travel is +/-10% depending on project
