Job Description:
As the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and support overall business growth. You will lead a talented marketing team and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our marketing efforts align with our business objectives. A key part of your role will involve understanding our product and the insurance landscape to create relevant content and make strategic decisions independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Understand our product and the insurance industry to create and write relevant, compelling content.
- Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI, being resourceful with limited funds.
- Build and leverage industry connections to amplify our reach and influence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
- Establish PR relationships to secure media coverage for Instnt.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to align messaging and ensure cohesive communication strategies.
- Oversee the creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and more.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and optimize marketing efforts.
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the insurtech or fintech industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, SEM, social media, and other online marketing channels.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.

Salary: $110k - $135k (Salary depends upon several factors, including the applicant’s prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location)
