The Community Operations team is responsible for managing interactions with our community: Business partners, working professionals, and internal stakeholders.

As a Community Operation Specialist, you will be fundamental to Instawork's success by helping to build positive, safe, and trusted experiences for our Instawork Professionals.  You will be working with a global team in recruiting, onboarding, booking shifts and performing administrative duties for Instawork professionals.  

The right candidate has a sense of curiosity with an entrepreneurial spirit and is always looking to resolve problems with exceptional communication while building trust in the community and has a good sense of intuition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review profiles of our current professionals and determine if they fit the needs of our business partners. 
  • Ensure all training materials are up to date and properly communicated to our professionals for upcoming shifts. 
  • Determine staffing requirements for each shift that is being presented by the business partners. 
  • Assist professionals by communicating requirements of the shift 24 hours before shift starts. 
  • Contacting professionals that have booked shifts to ensure they meet all the requirements to fulfill the requirements of the shift. 
  • Assist professionals during the shift to ensure compliance and assist with any question that may arise.
  • Provide training on Instawork tools and processes for new professionals during the onboarding process.
  • Community with business partners to determine the skill set needed from professionals who work the shift. 
  • Managing shift bookings on the platform to meet business partner needs.
  • Provide daily reports to the business partners and Instawork on the staffing throughout the shift. 
  • Advise professionals in the event they are not a fit to work with the business partner after the completion of a shift. 
  • Communicate any feedback provided by both our business partners and professionals and work with Operations to implement any solutions as needed. 

Requirements

  • 2 years experience managing gig based workers
  • 2 years experience as a schedule coordinator
  • 1 year experience in conducting interviews
  • 1+ year experience working backend operations for 3PL retail agencies
  • 1 year experience cultivating relationships with business partners in order to achieve recruitment goals
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening & proactive communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software, the ideal candidate should be able to achieve a minimum of 50 WPM
  • Extensive experience with Intercom, Textline, Toky, Confluence, Asana, and Google suite products
  • Good organizational and time management skills with the flexibility to reprioritize as necessary
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude with strong customer empathy and care for our customers
  • Flexible with work schedule is a must, availability to work on weekends are highly preferred
  • Previous working experience working in technology startups are preferred
  • Previous experience working in a 2-sided marketplace organization is highly preferred

For Vancouver based applicants:

  • The range salary for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 CAD
