Our Unata product team is Instacart’s white-label solution for grocers who want their own branded digital experience with same-day delivery. The Unata platform is the most comprehensive solution on the market; it powers all aspects of digital grocery and enables retailers to truly bring their in-store brand to life online. The Unata platform is built on a proprietary personalization engine that uses machine learning algorithms and data processing techniques specifically designed for the grocery industry. The Unata product team is based in our Toronto, Canada office.



  • Work with Product Marketing and Sales to gain a solid understanding of our target audience
  • Lead the design development of an external facing brand that brings our product, positioning and messaging to life in an engaging and professional manner
  • Create the Unata brand style guide to ensure high-quality and consistent designs
  • Develop designs for sales materials, such as decks, one-pagers, spec sheets, and case studies
  • Work with outsourced video production team to provide designs and stills for videos
  • Bring our demo site to life with designs for the homepage, banners, promotions, flyer, and mock loyalty program
  • Work with the PMMs and Product Managers to determine and develop device mocks that bring the platform to life in the best possible light
  • Develop standard design templates for our educational materials, including email newsletters, in-app guides, knowledge base articles, and release notes
  • Update design to reflect new positioning, value proposition, and messages  
  • Work closely with the Product Marketing Managers to prioritize design projects


  • 5+ years of experience as a marketing designer at a tech company
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to develop ideas with exceptional design quality through a broad range of digital channels
  • Experience leading a successful brand refresh, including brand guideline documentation
  • Digital-first designer, comfortable working across all pixels, including but not limited to web pages, emails, digital handouts, and presentations
  • Proven ability to bring a technical platform to life for a non-technical audience, through designs
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Design
