Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled on-call Psychiatrist to join our team and provide exceptional mental health care to patients. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating/prescribing, and managing the mental health conditions for a pediatric population at a children’s hospital located in the Philadelphia area. Candidates must have an active Pennsylvania medical license. A New Jersey medical license is a plus. 

Role Details

  • Expected on-call hours:
    • Monday through Thursday, 12am-8am ET
    • Friday at 8pm through Monday at 7pm ET 
  • Role location:
    • Primarily remote with the ability to be on-site for on-call responsibilities as appropriate (ie: in emergent situations that call for on-site presence). Site locations are in both Philadelphia, PA and King of Prussia, PA 
  • Patient population:
    • Pediatrics at a children’s hospital 
  • Required licenses:
    • Pennsylvania required. A New Jersey license is a plus

Accountabilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health conditions
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
  • Prescribe and monitor psychopharmacological medications to manage symptoms
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for patients
  •  Utilize crisis management techniques when necessary to address acute mental health issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Know and understand relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and procedures in order to ensure compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate Medicine of Osteopathic Medicine required

Medical License to practice in the state of Pennsylvania Ability to travel on site on an as-needed basisDEA license 

  • Experienced in both medication management as well as therapy for child and adolescent populations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical License to practice in the state of New Jersey
