About the Role
As a Director-Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for building QA frameworks developing and supporting the planning/design/execution of Test Strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to build end to end QA pipelines. You will be responsible for ensuring that the end product meets the appropriate quality standards, is fully functional and user-friendly.
A Day in the Life
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for quality assurance activities, with a focus on data testing, aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Strategize and execute AI initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Define and implement quality assurance processes, methodologies, and best practices for data testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Design and oversee the data testing strategy, including test planning, execution, and reporting, to ensure comprehensive coverage of data validation, integrity, accuracy, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements, define testing criteria, and resolve issues effectively.
- Identify and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities in data systems, processes, and applications, developing strategies to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Define key quality metrics and performance indicators for data testing activities, monitoring and reporting on the quality of testing efforts, and providing insights for improvement.
- Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in data testing, promoting automation where possible.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team, promoting innovation, learning, and knowledge sharing to optimize processes and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal policies related to data testing, privacy, security, and confidentiality.
- Manage the budget and resources allocated to the QA department effectively, optimizing resource utilization and ensuring cost-efficient delivery of quality assurance services.
What You Need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on data testing, in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of data testing concepts, methodologies, and tools, including SQL, scripting languages (e.g., Python, R), and testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Apache JMeter).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements, delivering high-quality results, and meeting project deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a customer-centric approach to quality assurance.
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Quality Engineer) are desirable.
