Your Role:

Innovaccer is seeking a leader- Engineering Strategy and Operations, who will work within the R&D team. Engineering strategy and operations is a function embedded within an engineering organization that helps ensure that processes and systems and tooling exist to help optimize the output of the engineering organization. You will regularly brief engineering leadership on the performance of engineering and partner with cross-functional teams like Product Management, User Experience Design, Customer Engineering and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordinated execution of various initiatives. This position is a key member of the Engineering leadership team reporting into the Head of Engineering Strategy and Operations. This role spans people, software delivery and customer support, business operations across engineering.

A Day in The Life:

  • Be a thought partner to the CTO and 400+ people Engineering function, to lead strategy and operations for the Engineering department.
  • Own OKR Planning & Execution, Board Reviews & MIS, Org Design that has impact on Profitability, Efficiency, Culture & Governance
  • Establish excellence around People processes such as talent acquisition and onboarding, engineer enablement/empowerment, growth/individual development
  • Establish excellence in engineering business operations processes that includes effective communication,setting up systems, processes, standards, tools to help optimize the output of the engineering team,Vendor Mgmt,Headcount planning and growth ETC.
  • Establish excellence in software development and support operations, org wide programs and initiatives that help teams function effectively, regularly monitoring and publishing software delivery and support metrics while proactively reaching out to engineering leadership to unblock bottlenecks in the system
  • Improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and happiness of an engineering organization through scale
  • Help build and sustain a performant uniform culture, that people are working effectively and efficiently on the right things while being super engaged and that they are empowered by the right processes, systems and tools
  • Working with business and product teams to understand company vision, product vision and requirements
  • Laser focused on engineering best practices to maximize productivity and outcomes
  • Be the technical expert, research, evaluate, and implement state-of-the-art technology as applicable to business operations needs
  • Strong technical documentation and presentation skills
  • Build a highly effective engineering operations team
  • You have strong customer focus and are obsessed with delivering quality products and focused on continuous quality improvement
  • You are a highly experienced and highly committed to creating world class engineering team; are able to develop and drive a high-level strategy, as well as to take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy
  • You are experienced in software engineering - Delivery and Operations
  • You have strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • You are a problem solver with strong analytical abilities, willingness to take initiatives and drive them
  • You have experience working closely with third-party vendors, partners, global engineering teams and business stakeholders to understand the use cases and build relevant engineering solutions
  • You love to create a performant culture, mentor your team members in their craft.

What You Need:

  • 12+ years of relevant progressive experience in strategy and operations management in tech
  • You should have Expertise: 0→1 & 1→ 10 stage scaling at new ventures, leading teams & growth experiments from scratch leading Engineering teams. 
  • Startup Growth & Strategy Professional with minimum 6.5 yrs of experience across early & growth stage startups working on business scale up and strategic development initiatives 
  • Numbers and metrics driven thinking at the core. 
  • Previous exp building or being a part of technology companies or engineering operations roles. 
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of enterprise software products (web and mobile) delivery
  • Demonstrable ability to work across multiple teams to deliver an end product or solution
  • Demonstrable ability to work closely with internal stakeholders, partners and vendors to build win-win solutions
  • Demonstrable Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to influence peers and/or management and be a champion of best practices that will encourage and drive adoption
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and grow people in their careers
  • Healthcare domain experience including the latest healthcare standards like FHIR
  • Applied AI experience
