One of the exit options from private equity ownership is a US stock exchange listing, and we are building a Finance function with that ambition and capability in mind.

 

Head of Group Finance

The Head of Group Finance leads the accounting function including technical accounting, consolidation and reporting. It is a critical role in managing the integrity of the financial reporting processes of the Group and is a key member of the Finance Leadership team. The ideal leader will be energetic, ambitious and capable of leading an accounting team in a growing and changing business environment. Experience leading and scaling a public company accounting team is strongly desired.

This role is based out of our Dublin office at City West, on a hybrid basis – 2 days per week.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all aspects of group accounting operations including month-end close and annual audit
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data.
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Develop a high-quality corporate governance environment, introduce and improve policies and procedures, participate and lead relevant portion of Audit Committee meetings
  • In partnership with the Deputy & Group CFO, serve as the technical accounting decision-maker for the company – implement accounting policies across the organisation
  • Ensure conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with GAAP
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls as required by Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Lead the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.
  • Manage external reporting requirements, including preparation of Annual Report
  • Oversee the preparation and timely distribution of quarterly bank reporting
  • Oversee accounting for central legal entities, including complex tax and financing arrangements
  • Oversee monthly reporting and analysis, forecast and budget for central functions cost, an annual budget of ~$200m
  • Serve as the Finance integration lead for M&A activities 
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external audits.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of group financial systems and software. Perform regular reviews of all accounting and operating systems to ensure the latest system enhancements are implemented
  • Develop a finance talent agenda to attract the best finance talent, with a view to succession planning at every level and strong career development opportunities for finance team
  • Serve on the finance leadership team and collaborate with CFO and fellow Finance leaders on functional and people priorities. Bring to life the team vision to transform the function with technology and the finance skill sets of the future.

 

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of experience leading the group finance or corporate accounting function in a public company
  • BA/BS degree and ACA required
  • Big Four accounting experience essential, SEC reporting experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong financial accounting system experience, Oracle EPM a plus
  • Must have strong attention to detail, work ethic, and professionalism
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills across operational and functional areas ideally gained in large, global organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and transform finance teams for effective and efficient delivery of service
