As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will increase the sales and secure new accounts for our InfluxEnterprise solutions. You will also provide account leadership and direction in the sales and pre-sales processes in an energetic environment. This position is an outside sales position and success will be measured on quota attainment against goal.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales Management and technical Pre-sales team to prepare account strategies and plans
  • Prospecting into target accounts
  • Acquire new customers
  • Substantially grow existing enterprise customers
  • Execute a solution selling methodology
  • Build and execute a solid business plan
  • Meet or exceed quarterly quota

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of outside sales experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of enterprise software experience, selling to VP level
  • Demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Excellent communication skills for addressing the multiple groups encountered in enterprise sales
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Proven experience in selling business value
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Role will be based in the north east of the US

Nice to have:

  • Located in the greater New York area
  • Relevant Bachelors or graduate degree
  • Experience in NoSQL data technologies or other modern platforms
  • Experience in selling solutions based on open source software
  • Sales engineering background
  • Demonstration of success in a non-sales goal-oriented environment, e.g. college sports
