The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), is a critical role supporting financial analysis, creating forecasts, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization with a focus on bridging unit economics to consolidated financial results. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with business stakeholders to develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business drivers and incorporate insights into financial projections. 
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance by various segmentations (e.g., channels, brands, etc.), including revenue, profitability, and key performance indicators (KPIs). 
  • Prepare regular and recurring financial packages for the leadership team, board, and external investors. 
  • Analyze and communicate key financial and operational trends to management and relevant stakeholders and prepare the bridge analysis to explain the variance in the actual vs. forecast.  
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards using data visualization tools to streamline the process and communicate financial insights to leadership.   
  • Assist with month-end close procedures and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed. 
  • Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources. 
  • Recommends strategies for financial performance. 
  • Escalates any financial issues to management. 
  • Collaborates with senior member of finance and analytics teams. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a similar role. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate financial data into actionable insights. 
  • Proficient in building 3-statement models 
  • Proficient in Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis functions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to deep dive into the business operational process to understand the business performance drivers. 
  • Comfortable with analyzing large data set. 
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation. 
  • Proficient understanding of retail economics. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Familiarity with Amazon seller central and other online marketplaces. 
  • Experience in the Amazon aggregator model or a similar roll-up strategy. 
  • Experience with financial modeling tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
